    How cool to see Richard live talking about his life and work! I grew up watching Leave It To Beaver (NOT on reruns!). This is a great score, this interview, Michael. Kudos! What a collection.

    This is one of my all time favorite episodes of grimmlifecollective. Not just because of Rich Cornell but because of his stories. The Wizard of Oz section really brought happy tears to my eyes when he was telling the story of Judy and her step son. I could imagine every detail as he was telling the story. Thank you so much for this! Always a journey watching your videos :)

    He's so right about The Ring display being probably the scariest part of the whole exhibit. I don't get scared by this stuff, and The Ring never did much for me personally, but standing there in front of that display gave me serious goosebumps. It's truly unsettling.

      Amber Tamblyn is daughter of Russ, who co-starred in classic horror "The Haunting" 1963 ( based on the book ), and decades later played Doc Jacoby on Twin Peaks.

    Nothing makes me happier than listening to people talk about what makes them tick. Rich Cornell lives and breathes his collection and the history of every piece.     Others have suggested this … Netflix, Disney, Prime, whoever need to hire you, to do these documentary features. It’s amazing you’re presenting these, basically for free, on RUclips. I think you need an agent, to expand your opportunities, because what you do is awesome!

    Seems like an incredible place. My husband and I are planning a trip to LA this year to take our 6 year old to Universal studios for the first time, thinking we might go here too. We all loved the sci-fi, fantasy, horror movies, tv, and books, my daughter included. I think this would be a great place for us to experience together for the first time as a family!

    I remember when you were before. Loved Richard telling us how he got started collecting and all of the things he has done. I could listen to him talk about his collection and life all day.     This was great! I actually work at Hard Rock on that street and I got to tour the place on an employee discount. My tour guide was great but of course got a lot more information out of hearing the owner speak. Thx for this!

    Wow, I’d never heard of this museum before but within seconds I knew I was adding it to our list of places to visit when we go to LA this summer. What a collection and I could listen to Rich talk all day. His passion for the collection comes across so vividly and he has really put a smile on my face. Brilliant video Michael.

    What is most important for all the videos that you do is show the history of everything in the stories and material you cover, watching this and seeing actual movie costumes and props is amazing and the love for everything displayed is shown all throughout! Seeing things from so many different movies, horror and not, seeing Hunger Games and Harry Potter here as well as Bela Lugosi, Frankenstein and Star Wars! really is something special! It’s like you are physically there, walking through a cool museum of amazing movie history! I have such an appreciation for everything you do Michael! Thank you! ❤️👻

    I was blessed to have met Margaret Hamilton in a Chicago production of A Little Night Music back when I was in High School, along with four other ‘theatre nerds’ I was in school with. I’m 66 now , so you can imagine how long ago this was. She was so kind and gracious to us goofy teenagers. She stopped and talked to us, and we absolutely loved her❤️

    Mr. Cornell is such an interesting and great man!! And what an awesome, fun place!! Seeing all of these wonderful objects literally gave me goosebumps!!     My son watched this video yesterday… took him to Icons of Darkness exhibit today. It was such a great experience. Our tour guide was funny and so kind. All the staff is super knowledgeable and amazing. Hubby and I want to return with the kiddos.

    Wow, Michael you always out do yourself in every video you produce! However, this time you really out did yourself with this great "Icons of Darkness" museum. I loved all the stories Rich told about his life, the people he knew, and how he acquired each piece of memorabilia for his exhibit. When I come L.A. I definitely want to see this museum!     The reputation Universal has for trashing its legacy is the stuff of legend.
    From garbaging the creature suit, the Bruce animatronics and dismantling the Orca from Jaws.
    Absolutely shameful.

    I went to this exhibit last year when I was in LA. It wasn't planned. We came out of Ripley's, still wanted to do something and I saw this across the street. Looked it up and we went in and it was one of the highlights of our trip. This video brought me right back and gave me more info and more awesome stories. Thank you so much for this

    This is a downright awesome museum! Rich sure knows how to tell a good story. One personal side note though: a real sci-fi corner has a Star Trek collection ;)

    True story, years ago Rich hosted an elaborate halloween party (He used to host them yearly, not sure if he still does) and I was hired to scare all the actors and producers who showed up to the party, it was awesome!

      @@kelleydeclue4100 The masks were kinda generic but we basically looked like hairy monsters and they had us hide in the dark shadows around the driveway entrance and we would jump out at them whenever people would arrive and walk down the driveway.
