I don't think you understood his character or the story line in general
He has everything to lose, he only acts like he has nothing; which is why he's dangerous in a great way
what? Show is literally about him losing things with every season and that kills him inside? What he didnt lose Grace, John, Poly, Aberama, so many people he lost, the entire point is ambition that is so big he cant stop - he doesnt have limitations thats why he lost so many people, as he said for thier lives and souls he can offer just money nothing more.

Amazing work mate, it’s been few years now since i finished all seasons. But I am still not get out from it. It has touched the very nerve in my head that doesn’t let it go. Only few dark souls can relate to this.

Thomas Shelby is severe, untreated, complex PTSD. People with this can manage if you don't keep threatening them or people they care about.
Most people are dangerous if you remove them from their children or cause continuous suffering.
These things are exactly why you need to at least have the compassion to leave traumatized people alone if you are going to cause them grief.
This show should have taught people that violence and isolation destroys people and it destroys families.
